	CROSS-STEER RACK AND PINION - This rack and pinion only has a tie rod coming out of the passenger side and hooks up to the passenger spindle just like your Vega set-up. It even includes a mounting bracket that bolts to your existing Vega mounting plate and an unpolished stainless steel tie rod tube. It mounts the rack much lower and farther forward giving you much more clearance up front. We also offer a steering shaft extension (910-32244) that allows you to reuse your existing steering u-joints and shafts when replacing your Vega box. The rack has 9/16" -26 spline while the extension shaft has 5/8" -36 just like the Vega box. Designed for 1923-34 Fords only. Choose 11/16" or 5/8" tie rod sleeve size. 5/8" is used with a LH heim joint, 11/16" is used with a LH tie rod end. The outer tie rod / heim and jam nut are not included. If you are using heim ends, you may wish to order heim 175-0316 and jam nut 910-01056. If using tie rod ends, you may wish to order tie rod end 910-02919 and jam nut 910-01159.

Cowl Steering Adapter for the Corvair Steering box - This adapter bolts directly to the corvair steering box output shaft Comes complete with output shaft adapter, extension shaft and bolts and straight pitman arm. The extension shaft is 10 1/2 inches from the mounting plate to the inside of the pitman arm. You can easily "cut down" the extension shaft to your desired length prior to final welding. The pitman arm can then be drilled to accept your heim joint or tie rod end of you choosing. Overall pitman arm length is 8 1/2" and maximum hole to hole drilled is 7". We strongly suggest the use of a support near the cowl exit for the extension shaft (available separately).
